Living in country Victoria, Emma Amery has defied the tyranny of distance to play classical music at the highest level, win the Newsboys Foundation Regional Music Award and be promoted to Melbourne Youth Orchestra Concert Master. Newsboys Foundation is a proud supporter of MYO and Melbourne Recital Centre.
Behind the scenes - "125 BPM" Newsboys Foundation celebrates 125 years of supporting young people in Victoria. To mark this milestone, Newsboys Foundation collaborated with Outer Urban Projects, Melbourne Youth Orchestras, Melbourne Recital Centre and composer and didgeridoo virtuoso William Barton to present an uplifting concert championing the power of youth, music and diversity.
Our production Impact documented the ripple affect on those involved in treating and surviving Road Trauma. We were given access to Ambulances Victoria’s Air wing, Alfred Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital over a 4 month period. Impact won a Quill Award in 2017. Impact was also nominated in the category of Coverage of an issue or event. This documentary and photographic essay went on to win 4 other major magazine awards in Australia
